EDNA SAYS FAREWELL TO 1936

Farewell to 1936.

This closes a very eventful

year and facing the New

Year with courage and hope

for a better year to come

Henry, Hank, and I went to Kate's

to watch the old year out and

the New year in. Other guest

were Pete + Lucy and Alex + Edwina.

Men played Euchre and we ladies

played Pedro.

Lovely supper + good time.

Home at 4 AM.

Went with Morse also came home

with him.

Edna drew a circle around the number 31 and bid farewell to 1936. She also stayed out until 4 AM. I barely made it past midnight.

For just moment, as I read her sentiments about the new year, I felt as if she had glimpsed the future and wrote a message to all of us.

With that in mind, I bid farewell to 2020. This does indeed close a very eventful year.

My wish for all of you is Edna's wish that we may face the new year with courage and hope for better things to come.

Draw a circle around the number 31! This unexpected and eventful year is done.
