EDNA HAS 22 GUESTS FOR CHRISTMAS

Nice Day not very cold.
Had a Merry merry Christmas.
22 for Dinner. All the kids +
families also Gladys Walls, Kate + Bill
Jen +Lyd.
Dinner menu: Roast turkey, dressing,
roast pork, baked apples - potatoes
buttered green beans, moulded
veg salad, pickles, olives, jam
graham cracker dessert, buns,
Supper menu: oyster soup,
cake, jello.
My gifts - electric clock from Morse,
Corn popper (electric) Lucille, hose Alice,
rug + doilies Helen, bake dish Jen,
salad dish Kate, salad bowl Lyd,
set of glass bowls Rosy.
Awfully tired to-night
My dinner menu also included potatoes (au gratin), green beens and olives (I love olives). We had ham, not turkey and roast pork.
Unlike Edna, I did not have twenty two guests for dinner. It was a pandemic-sized dinner of five —John, Maxine, Alden, my mother-in-law, and I. We sent a plate home with my mother-in-law to take to her niece.
Quite by coincidence, I also received an electric (air) corn popper for Christmas. Popcorn is my favorite snack and my old popper had seen better days. There were a lot of other nice gifts, too.

We delivered gifts to my parents last week, dropping them off on their front porch. We stayed six feet apart and wore masks. There were no hugs.
Among the gifts I left for my parents were two gifts from Edna/Grandma Johnson. Journals for each of them.
Christmas was different this year. But, it was very merry.
Oh, and in case you were wondering ...the cranberry cake was delicious.
