ENDA WRITES WITH EMPHASIS

Very very cold. Sunshine part of day
Below zero in all western,
central and eastern states.
Henry went to G.R.
Morse cleaned the hens coop.
Sold 53# = 37 doz eggs @ 14¢ per lb.
Henry purchases license for
car. K 127 38
64 eggs
What strikes me about this entry is the fact that Edna underscored the license plate number several times. This wasn't their first car. If it was, perhaps the lines were to emphasize her excitement. She didn't say how much Henry paid for the license. If you have been reading along you know that Edna notes expenditures pretty carefully. Did she think he paid too much? Her son Morse was born on 1/27. But I don't imagine that would compelled her to underscore the number ten times. Do you have any thoughts?
