EDNA BAKES A CAKE

day cake for Morse 22 yrs

I feel like I need to make a master list of characters that people can reference as they read. But for now, I wanted to introduce you to Jack, Lucille, Kate, and Bill. You have seen Lucille's name quite a bit by now. She is the oldest daughter of Edna and Henry and she is married to John (Jack) Watts. Catherine (Kate) is Henry's sister and she is married to Bill Cosgriff.

Before the visitors arrived, Edna was busy making ice cream and cake in preparation of Morse's birthday the next day. I don't have any recipes from my great grandmother but I did find a recipe for Angel Food Cake with a 1936 date to share.
