A BLIZZARD. SCHOOL CLOSED. STILL, THEY DRIVE TO GRAND RAPIDS.

A terrible blizzard all day
and still continuing to-night.
Roads, yard, and buildings
full of snow.

went to Grand Rapids -
Phoned to-night that hey
were unable to get home on
M 50 - Miss Benson closed
school this morn on account
of storm.
Alice ironed this P.M.
86 eggs
Either they were way more adventurous in 1936 or a blizzard wasn't really a blizzard because Edna, on several occasions, mentions that they are having a terrible snowstorm or blizzard and still someone ventures off in a 1930s automobile for Grand Rapids (which is about 25 miles away from the Johnson farm in Bowne Center).
