MORSE PACKS HIS GLADSTONE FOR CHICAGO

Not quite so cold.

Morse and I went to G.R.

with Henry - Henry went to Lansing

with Road Comm[ission] to attend meeting

Back to-morrow.

Morse finished plan to leave for

Chicago to-morrow at 8:10 AM CST

Did business with Central Bank [1] G.R.

Also drew $150.77 [my] out at Peoples

Bank. Morse busy packing his new

"Gladstone"

Hank went home with Walter from

school.

74 eggs

I found this ad from 1936 advertising Gladstone luggage. The prices range from $12 - $21, a fairly hefty price for the time.

I sensed a bit of pride and motherly love in Edna's noting that Morse was home packing his new "Gladstone." She even underscored with a single line for a bit of emphasis.
