A rainy day, a cough, and bread baking.

Raining all day.
Feeling a little better but
have a terrible cough. Can't
get to sleep until nearly
morning.
Henry went to G.R. — Lucille,
Helen + Rosy went along and
drove to Rockford to P.T.A.
council.
I baked bread and prepared
meals.
I like honoring the line breaks when I transfer my great grandmother's written journal entires to a digital format. Like this entry, they sometimes have the appearance of a poem.
Some inside information:
G.R. is Grand Rapids, Michigan. Today, with highways, it would be a 25 mile/25 minute journey to take the drive in modern day automobiles.
Lucille and Helen are two of Edna's three daughters.
Rosy was married to my grandfather. She is another story for another time. But I will let you know now that Rosy doesn't stick around. A few years after this entry, she skips off with another man and disappears for 44 years. Rosy kept a journal for 2.5 years before she ran off. It was a 5 year journal that my grandfather took over after she left. We have that journal (which takes place during and just after WWII). At some point, I will share more of that story and Rosy's journal entries.
